We specialize in standing seam metal roofs. These are roof panels that are generally 16" wide with a 2" tall leg on each side. Clips are screwed to the roof along the leg of the panel and then the next panel put on. The two panel legs with the clips between are then rolled over to form a seam. This type of roofing has no penetrations, as all fasteners are concealed under the panel. This reduces chances of leaks because there are no screws penetrating the panels.

The BattenLok HS panel by MBCI shown above demonstrates the standing seam panel. The panel shown has both pencil ribs and striations. The pencil ribs are the long narrow raised ribs on the panel surface. Striations are low, wide raised strips on the panel surface. Both make the panel stiffer, reducing oil canning, or warping that may occur after the panel has expanded and contracted from changes in temperature.

Some of the manufacturers for standing seam metal roofs we frequently use are listed below. You can find more information on panel profiles and color charts on their websites. There are also pictures of standing seam metal roofs and wall panels.
